The Safety Officer will be responsible for ensuring the implementation of safety policies and procedures, conducting safety inspections, and promoting a culture of safety within the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in safety management, preferably within the oil and gas sector. Key Responsibilities: – Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. – Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards. – Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine causes and recommend preventive measures. – Provide safety training and awareness programs for employees and contractors. – Ensure the availability and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and other safety equipment. – Prepare and present safety reports, statistics, and recommendations to management. – Collaborate with other departments to integrate safety into all aspects of operations. – Stay updated on industry best practices and regulatory changes to maintain a high level of safety compliance.
